Love

 I spent the past weekend in Cape Cod with Jessica and Joe.  I quote Jess in saying that the day was, "just perfect."  Jess was right.  Everything about the day was perfect. The ceremony, the weather, the scenery, the people- everything ebbed and flowed to melodious rhythm.   In the center of it all were two people whose hearts are fully devoted to God and each other.  And that is just perfect.  

I can't wait to share more of this beautiful day.         

Family Photo Day

Boston in the fall.

I am in beautiful New England to photograph a wedding.  Rich and I went a little early and spent the beautfiul day meandering around Boston.  I love new places.

Details.

I was walking through the park on Sunday with Rich and we came across a beautiful field of yellowed soybeans that I knew I HAD to come back and photograph.  When a last minute attempt to find a subject failed, I decided to let a vintage wedding dress I found at a thrift store a few weeks ago, a pair of shoes, and some dried flowers be my subjects.

I love the details of a wedding.  Sometimes you have very little time to spare on them.  But yesterday I had time.  I had fun practicing photographing a few lovely details.  Although, I don't know what was more fun- taking pictures or listening to passers-by guess at what I was doing.

 

 

 

 

Autumn

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love being outside.  I love the changing colors of the trees.  I love the chill in the air which demands the comfort of a warm cup of apple cider.

October has been beautiful thus far.  The leaves are just starting to hint at the splendor of their final goodbye, proving there is glory in death while warning us that winter is rapidly approaching.  I have been doing my best to heed their warning by enjoying as much of crisp air as I possibly can.  

Every so often, Rich and I gather with a few friends and family members for a "Supper Club" dinner.  Each time their is a new host and theme.  The friendship and delicious food are the constant.  On Saturday night, the theme was appropriately "Autumn."   We had a wonderful dinner and dessert spread followed by a trip to the Pumpkinfest in Doylestown, Pa.  In summation, it was a wonderful, fallesque evening.  

My contribution to our meal was a Harvest Apple Macaroni and Cheese.  

It was based on Rachel Ray's Harvest Moon Macaroni .  I modified the recipe for apples, added almonds, breadcrumbs, sour cream, and used low-fat milk (the low fat milk really did very little for the calorie count of this dish :)

The Thompson Family

Last week, I took some family photos of my beautiful friend, Mary, and her lovely kids.  Mary is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and I always leave her company feeling encouraged.  We had a great time enjoying the beauty of fall together and I was so happy to take their photos!
